This policy explains when and how you can get a refund for an Edgity subscription. It applies to subscriptions purchased through edgity.app. Subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are handled by Google Play under Google's own refund terms — see the section on Google Play purchases below.
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial and no payment details are required to use it, so you can evaluate Edgity in full before you pay anything. If you do subscribe and change your mind, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment.
1. Free trial
New accounts include a 14-day trial with full access. No payment method is required to start it, and it does not convert into a paid subscription automatically. If you do nothing when the trial ends, you are not charged.
2. 14-day refund window
If you subscribe and decide Edgity is not for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.
This applies to your first payment on a new subscription. Renewal payments on a subscription you have already been using are covered by section 3.
3. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly, every three months, or annually, depending on the plan you chose. You can cancel at any time; see section 4.
Renewal payments are generally non-refundable, because you keep access for the full period you paid for. That said, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend — for example you meant to cancel and did not realise the renewal was imminent — contact us. If the billing period has only just started and you have not used the service in it, we will normally refund the renewal.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
Cancelling does not automatically trigger a refund. If you also want a refund, and you are within one of the situations described above, contact us.
5. Exceptions
We may decline a refund where:
- the request falls outside the periods described above and none of the situations in section 3 apply;
- the account has been used in breach of our Terms of Service — for example sharing credentials, scraping, or reselling access;
- there is evidence of repeated subscribe-and-refund activity on the same account, payment method, or person.
6. What we do not refund
Edgity is a statistical analytics tool. It calculates probabilities and fair prices from public data; it does not place bets, guarantee outcomes, or predict results with certainty. Betting losses are not grounds for a refund, and we cannot compensate for any financial decision made using information from the service. This is set out in our Terms of Service.
7. How to request a refund
Email us from the address associated with your Edgity account and include the approximate date of the payment. We will confirm receipt and aim to respond within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once processed, it typically takes 5–10 business days for the money to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
8. Google Play purchases
If you subscribed inside the Edgity Android app, the payment was processed by Google Play, not by us, and Google's refund terms apply. Requests go through your Google Play account or Google Play support. Cancellation is also managed there, under your Google Play subscriptions.
If Google declines a request you believe should be honoured under this policy, contact us and we will look at it.
9. Payment processing
Payments made on edgity.app are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Your receipt and invoice come from Paddle, and their name may appear on your bank or card statement alongside ours. Refunds are issued through Paddle.
10. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer law. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Changes are not applied retroactively to refund requests already submitted.
